WWT Slimbridge sightings 9 September 2006

9 September 2006 Hot news for today was the discovery of a Pectoral Sandpiper on the South Lake among the other waders (Graham Maples). It is apparently showing well, so digiscopers may be in luck.I was out early and had 5 Sedge, 4 Reed, 2 Cetti's Warblers, 6 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap, a Hobby and a juvenile Spotted Redshank at the 100 Acre. At least four Spotted Redshank were on South Lake plus a juvenile Mediterranean Gull.
